18U & 16U NAPHL Fall League

The Chippewa Steel, founding NAPHL FALL members, are happy to announce details for the 2025 season. 2025 will be the 5th season for the program - which includes 2 NAPHL championships and a 16U championship appearance in 2024.

Our 18U & 16U program offers a strong schedule which competes against high-end full season Tier 1 AAA teams from across the country and the NAPHL FALL League.

Tryouts:

• Dates: March 29-30, 2025
• Location: Chippewa Ice Arena
• Schedule: Check-in at 8 AM on 3/29 and last game done at 4 PM on 3/30
• Cost: $25 - 1 practice, 3 games & entry to Steel game on 3/29

Teams:

• 18U: 2007 & 2008 birth years
• 16U: 2009 birth year

Games & Practices:

8-10 hours of practice ice

22-25 games

Game Schedule – SUBJECT TO CHANGE:

• Chippewa Training Camp: August 15-17, 2025 (Chippewa Falls, WI)
• Game Weekend: August 22-24, 2025 (Location TBD)
• Chicago Steel USHL Ice Breaker: September 5-7, 2025 (Chicago, IL)
• NAPHL Opener: September 12-14, 2025 (Blaine, MN)
• NAHL Showcase: September 25-28, 2025 (Blaine, MN)
• Fargo Force USHL Showcase: October 3-5, 2025 (Fargo, ND)
• NAPHL Playoffs: October 10-12, 2025 (Blaine, MN)

Uniform

Players will purchase a uniform set that includes: home/away jerseys & socks and breezer (pant) covers. Players are asked to wear a black helmet and black gloves.

Exposure

• Exposure to NCAA, USHL, NAHL and other junior leagues
• Eligible for the NAPHL tenders given to all NAHL teams
• Over 15 Steel NAPHL players have gone on to play in the NAHL

Hotels

• Tournaments events are stay to play. Out of town players are required to stay at league partner hotels. We will send out booking links for each event.

NAPHL Fall League

The NAPHL Fall League is comprised of 16U and 18U teams operated and branded by NAHL members. The League play is strategically located and schedule to allow for additional development and exposure for players before the Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin high school season begins. Players that compete in the NAPHL Fall League are eligible for the NAHL Subsidiary tendering system exclusive to the NAPHL.
